Dr David Soares is an independent Educational Psychologist, based in the beautiful Wirral Peninsula. David is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and has experience working closely with large local authorities. He currently attends as an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Manchester, allowing him to collaborate with academic specialists, in order to bring the best standard of experience and expertise to schools and families across the Northwest.
David has 18 years as a former secondary school teacher, and has worked in a range of education settings, in the UK and abroad. This has given him a real drive to use his knowledge and experience to improve educational and developmental opportunities for children and young people, in order to optimise their learning journey.
David’s doctoral research includes a particular focus on exam and test anxiety, an area in which he has also published a number of articles and developed several learning resources, including VIVA – a test anxiety programme grounded on his doctoral thesis.
